Around 1842 Benjamin Tyler Henry was engaged by Kendall & Co. When becomming Robbins, Kendall and Lawrence he was one of so many men who worked on the improvement of the Jennings rifle. It was there were he met Smith and Wesson and joined them when working at their Norwich plant. Later he came in contact with Winchester (likely recommended by Smith or by Wesson).
